SMALL TALK SIX – Frankly {insert name here}, I don’t give a damn!

Welcome to today’s edition of Small Talk Six hosted by the lovely ladies at MomDot. Today’s topic focuses on six pieces of advice that you think are obvious, but some people just need to hear. Keep an open mind, don’t hate and just let me have my say, will ya?
  1. I don’t care what Jamie Lee Curtis said in “My Girl,” but, yes, you really CAN wear too much blue eyeshadow.
  2. Just say NO to drugs – didn’t you listen to Nancy Reagan back in the day? What? What do you mean you don’t know who Nancy Reagan is?!
  3. It pays to look in a mirror before leaving the house…that way you can see how ridiculous you look when you go grocery shopping at Wal-Mart on Sunday afternoon dressed like a hooker.
  4. Buckle up for safety…click it or ticket…just wear your damn seat belt!
  5. It is NOT okay to fart at the dinner table and then laugh about it.
  6. Cough & sneeze in your elbow, please – because I don’t want to be showered with your nasty germs.

What are YOUR six things? Go to MomDot and share!

those are good. how bout pleated pants don’t hide your pouch they accent it.

  2. #6 ITS NOT?? I better post a message for my children and husband. thanks for the great laugh.

  3. Katie says:

#5 – I have a 10 year old son and I think I have to tell him that almost every other night!

  4. I am Harriet says:

You’d be surprised how many kids I have seen jumping around in the back seat of a car. Duh. And the farting thing…..belongs in the bathroom, no matter how male you want to show us you are.

  5. Michelle C. says:

Becca – how could I have forgotten about pleated pants! Ew, ew, ew!

Night Owl Mama – I have the same issue here at home! ;-)

Katie – it’s a reoccuring thing in our home, too.

Harriet – I was almost t-boned by a lady the other day who: #1 didn’t even STOP at the stop sign (and I had the right of way) and #2 had 6 kids in her Neon just bouncing around (yes, she was THAT close to my car that I could count her kids!).

  6. Yes, sneeze and cough in your elbow. Not your hands where you will then spread your germs to everything you touch.

  7. Amanda says:

I had to LMAO @ #5. I have boys. Farting at the dinner table is funny in our house no matter how many disapproving looks I give them all. But it’s not acceptable at other people’s houses, when we have company, or in public.

  8. Amber says:

Oh my gosh…I just snorted from laughing at #3. HA! That’s a great one! :)

  9. ~Holly~ says:

Girl, your list is so good! I know when I’m in Walmart, sometimes I look at people and think..”You knew you were coming here, did you look in the mirror?” LOL And the seat belt issue, so important!!! In 2006, my 17 year old cousin was killed in a car accident and the coroner said by examining his injury that if he had been wearing his seat belt he would have walked away with just a few cuts or bruises! Such a tragedy! I love that book by Rick Warren and when I found this list on the internet I just knew I needed to include it and now I’ve decided to read the book again! :) Have a great weekend!

  10. Lori E says:

I would like to get out of my car and shake people with unbuckled kids.
Man/woman up here and take control of your kids.

Good list here but now I am all riled up and have to go out and shake some people today.
