Waiting Needing to exhale…

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

It’s been one of THOSE days. Driving down the road sobbing & having your eight year old daughter tell you that things will be OK is NOT how things are supposed to be. What happened to the happy-go-lucky family we were last week? What happened to my sense of security? Reassurance? Hell, what happened to my freaking sanity?!
No, nothing is wrong with ‘us.’ No, no, no…nothing like THAT has happened, but my world has been rocked just a little bit…OK, its been rocked a lot. Rocked in a nerve-wracking, “what the eff am I supposed to do” kind of way.
I know things will work out in the end {they always do}, but my stress coping mechanisms are shot & all I have left to give are tears. Because, seriously, if my hair keeps falling out like it has been lately, well, I’ll be bald before my birthday {which is in just over a month}.
*sigh*
