it’s no secret: i love my keurig.
i use it to make coffee {using either portion packs or freshly ground beans}, cocoa, tea & even hot water. i love that i have the option of making iced teas & coffee with the keurig, too; however, i’m not a fan of the hot brew process for cold drinks. but, i digress.
so about tea…
as much as i love coffee, i am also a tea drinker. i grew up drinking tea. i guess i can blame my heritage…in a sense. i’m half-chinese, so i drink hot tea often. chrysanthemum, jasmine, green…i love them all. the caucasian in me {you know, because my daddy is from mississippi} loves sweet tea. of course, i have other {unsweetened} favorites, too: earl grey, english breakfast, and chamomile.
one of my most recent shipments from green mountain coffee was a sampler of celestial seasonings teas & bigelow teas. both are well-known producers of tea and both companies offer various tea flavors in portion packs for keurig lovers like myself.
without a doubt, of the celestial seasonings teas i was given to try, sleepytime was my favorite. i’ve always had a soft spot for a nice, warm cup of chamomile tea…especially before bedtime after a long, stressful day. the celestial seasonings sleepytime herbal tea did not disappoint. of the four, i enjoyed the india spice chai the least. i’m funny about chai tea. sometimes i like it, sometimes i don’t.
the bigelow teas did not disappoint. hands down, my favorite was the earl grey. i love to add a generous squeeze of honey into my cup of earl grey before brewing. the scent & flavor transport me back to my freshman year of college. i started every morning with a plain bagel {toasted, of course} smothered in cream cheese & strawberry jam. i washed it down with – you guessed it – a steaming cup of earl grey tea. the green tea reminded me a lot of my childhood. my mother is a big fan of green tea. the green tea with pomegranate was delightful & a nice change from the usual green tea.
are you a tea fan? do you want to win two boxes of tea {portion packs, of course} and two mugs? if so, get ready for a short quiz…
