one pair of hot pink j.crew shorts with a 3" inseam.  two pit passes to the dave matthews band show.  three overpriced beers {each}.  it was a father's day that both adam & i will remember. i cannot even tell you how many dave matthews band shows we've been to, but sunday night's show was, by far, one of my favorites.  although i didn't get to hear #41, i did get to hear a few favorites including:  grace is gone, halloween, crash into me, why i am, two step and, of course, best of what's around. some people find it shocking when i say that my family is not big on sweets or desserts. growing up, desserts were NEVER a part my family's daily routine.  sure, my parents treated my sister and i to ice cream from time to time, but dessert was never expected after a meal.  the same was true about sweet treats. now that i have a family of my own, it's the same way.  sweet treats are rare.  sure, i bake cupcakes & cookies from time to time, but our pantry is not stocked with sugary snacks.  nor do we serve dessert on a regular basis.  it's just not part of our routine and my children have grown up not to expect it.  when it comes to something sweet, however, i do make one exception:  COOL WHIP Whipped Topping. pumpkin pie at thanksgiving is not pumpkin pie without a … [Read more...]

...and, therefore, i present to you the random thoughts running through my head: i never did make laundry detergent yesterday.  shit. efffff, i have to clean the bathtubs today.  i hate cleaning the bathtubs. i have GOT to get my oreck giveaway scheduled.  {the post should go live tomorrow...saturday morning at the latest.} i wish frisco would stop barking every. single. time. he goes outside. hmmm...maybe frisco needs a shock collar.  {i kid, i kid!} this time next week my parents will be here. in two weeks, the kids & i will be visiting sweet grayson! just ten days until the dave matthews band show.  i better not be disappointed with our "seats."  {we bought pit passes, y'all.} my van needs an alignment.  i need an auto repair sugar daddy. speaking of … [Read more...]
