part two: you asked. i’m answering.

i’m baaaack.  you know, to finish answering some questions.

classy fab sarah asked:
what’s the best and easiest meal you cook?
dominos.  just kidding!  my husband, adam, jokes all the time that i’m half-chinese, but i cook italian food well.  i don’t think of myself as a good cook.  but, i am good at following a recipe.  my best meal?  ummmm….anything pasta:  stuffed shells, lasagna, carbonara.  my easiest meal?  my version of shrimp scampi or a sausage & spinach concoction i created.  both served with pasta, of course.

cas asked THREE questions:
why did you start blogging?
honestly?  i needed an outlet to bitch.  i’ve never been much of a journal writer and it’s just easier to type than write {sometimes}.  i had no intentions of starting a blog to gain followers or review products, but it happened.  i still use my blog to bitch from time to time, but i try to keep the bitching to a minimum.  ha ha.
if you were buying/building a dream house, what are some rooms/features you just have to have?
oh, geez…y’all are going to feel so sad for me because once i tell you my wish list you will realize that i live in a small, craptastic house built in the late 1980s.  first of all, we would need MORE than three bedrooms.  also?  i’d like a formal dining room and a separate office or den {right now, my dining room is my computer room/office}.  more than two full bathrooms would be nice, too, because it’s not fun listening to my kids fight over the bathroom.  i’d love a bigger kitchen, too.  one with ample storage and an island for prep work.  oh, and a dedicated laundry room.  my washer and dryer used to be in the kitchen, but adam moved them to the other side of the wall…you know, into the garage.  the storage in my current home is pitiful, so bigger closets that i could walk into would be nice.  annnnnd, i’d love to have a “real” master bathroom.  i’m jealous of all you beezies with a garden tub and a separate shower.  i have double sinks, but those jokers are IN the bedroom {just think of the last motel you’ve stayed at…yeah}.  feel sorry for me?  you can start donating to the “get michelle into a bigger & better house” fund now.  i accept cash, checks & money orders.  paypal is cool, too.
you can vacation anywhere in the world for a week, where do you vacation?
are we talking all-expenses paid?  i guess it doesn’t matter, eh?  adam and i LOVE to visit playa del carmen, mexico.  we’ve been there quite a few times and we love the small, american-owned boutique hotel we stay at {we don’t do resorts or all-inclusives}.  as much as i love playa del carmen, i want to see more of mexico, so i think we would venture further south into akumal {where we’ve snorkeled before} or into tulum {we spent a day there once}.  or, i’d love to just rent a car {or take the ADO bus} into belize.  we’ve been to cancun a few times, but we like a more “low key” vacation.  perhaps we’ll stay on isla mujeres one of these days or stay on cozumel longer than one day.  i would love to visit europe, but – for now – i’m perfectly content with mexico.  of course, i would REALLY love to go back to hawaii.  i haven’t been to hawaii since i moved from honolulu to virginia beach when i was eight years old.  clearly, i need two weeks of vacation instead of one.

anyone else have any questions?  i would love to answer them!

Is it a bad thing that I asked 3 questions? I felt like asking one just wasn’t enough…
