i seriously thought i would get back into the swing of things with blogging now that i am down to one summer class, but – clearly – i haven’t. so before i get a few blog posts scheduled and write about more meaningful content, i’m going to share a hodge-podge of information with you.
call it a brain dump.
call it word vomit.
call it being random.
as for me? i’m calling it tuesday randoms.
- we’ve had basic cable for a few months now. i miss a lot of the shows i used to watch when we had “fun” cable, but i can honestly say that we watch less t.v. than we did before. and, whenever our television is on, we’re either watching p.b.s. or animal planet. {okay, we’re still watching the food network, too…even though it’s not part of the basic cable line up.}
- speaking of p.b.s., aidan watched one episode of bob ross and is now obsessed with painting happy little trees and mountain scenes. should i get him an afro wig?
- i decided that july would be my “no spend” month. so far, i’ve been more successful with “no spend” july than i was with “mean abs” june and we’re only three days into the month. ha ha ha!
- i’m kind of obsessed with viggle for android. maybe it’s because i’m not supposed to spend any money this month {except on groceries, gas, bills, etc.} and i need to get my starbucks fix someway, somehow.
- i made an A in my oceanography for teachers class. yay!
- i stopped using dryer sheets about a month ago. instead, i’ve been using dryer balls. i love them.
- the katy perry movie? yeah, i’m not interested in seeing it. and, quite honestly, magic mike doesn’t interest me. it’s not because of the content, it’s because i’m a lazy schmuck who would rather watch movies at home.
- next month, i’m heading to atlanta to attend the thirty-one national conference. i’m excited! speaking of thirty-one, if you’re interested in purchasing something or hosting a party, please let me know! you can view my page by clicking here.
- our kitchen sink sprang a leak. adam fixed the plumbing under the sink a few years ago, but told me to call a plumber because he’s been so busy with work. the plumber wanted almost $400 to fix the leak. my dad fixed it for $14. hooray!
- malia came out of my room yesterday wearing a pair of my flip flops. they fit her perfectly. the fact that my 11 year old can wear my ladies size 6 shoes makes me sad. hold me.
- i have decided that i’m going to start running. i don’t think i am going to do the couch to 5k training program. instead, i’m just going to build up to a running pace on my own. in other words, i am going to walk a lot. maybe.
the randoms could go on and on, but i would probably bore you.
tomorrow, i’m finally going to answer some questions that a few readers asked me many, many months ago. promise.

i happen to know someone who walks/runs almost every day that would be happy for company.
I’d never heard of 31 gifts. I’m in Washington state, if I ever wanted to order from you, could I? LOL, Bob Ross
If you start running shoes are important! I started in some old shoes I had at the house and ended up in terrible pain! Make sure you get some new shoes. I just got the cheapest Sauconey running shoes I could find and I’m much happier.
