one pair of hot pink j.crew shorts with a 3" inseam.  two pit passes to the dave matthews band show.  three overpriced beers {each}.  it was a father's day that both adam & i will remember. i cannot even tell you how many dave matthews band shows we've been to, but sunday night's show was, by far, one of my favorites.  although i didn't get to hear #41, i did get to hear a few favorites including:  grace is gone, halloween, crash into me, why i am, two step and, of course, best of what's around. music makes me…shop?

i don't know about you but certain songs evoke memories & emotions within my soul. some songs get me charged up. some songs help me remember a special occasion. some songs take me back in time. some songs actually bring a tear to my eye. and,some songs make me want to shop.  yeah, shop. case in point?lights by ellie goulding.  i hear this song on the radio from time to time, but i swear i hear it while shopping ALL of the time. it's blasted over the airwaves at loft and bed bath & beyond. i'm pretty certain i've heard it at gap and i SWEAR sears was playing it as i tried squeezing into a lands end bathing suit earlier this week. but, the icing on the cake?  i heard it while grocery shopping. seriously, y'all, what is it about this song & me … [Read more...]

what i’m listening to.

when the van's a-rockin'... kidding. currently, my driving mix includes both florence + the machine albums, one mumford & sons album, a jackass flats album & the latest album from big time rush. {that's totally for the kids, by the way. promise.} the 6th cd slot is currently empty. but, my radio station hopping ways also quench my musical thirst and currently i am loving these songs... Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye {featuring Kimbra} I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz A Thousand Years by Christina Perri {apparently, this is the music video for the latest vampire/werewolf movie that i have no interest in seeing} Ours by Taylor Swift it's definitely an eclectic mix. three of the four songs are on the slower side.  but that's just how i … [Read more...]
