i am thankful for…

i know, i know...thanksgiving was last week. but, that doesn't mean you are only supposed to be thankful one day of the year.today, i am sharing with you all the essay my son wrote in class last week. {i'm typing it "as is" including aidan's flagrant use of commas and misspelled words.}I'm thankful for...I'm thankful for my family, because my dad always helps me fix my bike when the chain brakes.  My sister helps me when I get hert she also plays with me.  I'm thankful for my mom, because she helps me when I'm hert also my mom also helps me with my homework.  I'm thankful for my two crazy dogs Frisco and Buxton, because they help me stay active.  Mom and dad thank you for my close and sheleter because without it I would not have a place to live and something to keep me warm.  Thank … [Read more...]

plenty to be thankful for…THE 21st CENTURY!

i'll start off by saying that i am not {contrary to whatever my husband might think} a high maintenance girl. sort of. i camp. i get dirty. i wear chipped polish. i don't always shower daily. i don't always wear makeup. i am sloppy...sometimes.BUT, would i survive if i was suddenly transported back to, oh, the 1800s? um, probably not. why? because i need my 21st century conveniences, yo.i'm probably the only person on the planet who does not have an iphone {no, wait, my husband doesn't have one}, but i do love my smart phone. i also hate my cell phone carrier, but that's for a different post. looking back to my early cell phone days, i don't know how i lived with a phone that didn't take pictures, send or receive emails, allow me to check the twit or facebook. yeah, enough said.{via}the … [Read more...]

plenty to be thankful for…THE BLOGOVERSE!

i started blogging during the summer of 2007. i blogged previously on my myspace page. ha. do you remember that little gem? everyone had tom on their friend list...he got around. anyways...this blog - stuttering shell - started because i needed to vent. in the beginning, i was writing for me {because it's easier to type out your feelings than write them down, i think}. my early blog posts were so lame. seriously. they were pretty awful. but, it's whatever, right? now, here i am over 900 blog posts later, and i consider my blog to be one of my favorite places on the internet. in addition, blogging has given me so many opportunities to collaborate with other bloggers and some pretty fabulous companies. and, most importantly, blogging has blessed me with a network of friends - both in … [Read more...]
